Obedience Classes

Puppy classes are an 6-week introduction course, during which time, they learn the basics. In addition, puppies are socialised with all types of other dogs and people. A well socialised puppy is a happy one who is able and eager to learn all about the outside world.

For those wanting to learn more, our bronze, silver and gold classes provide the next level of training. As well as the standard obedience exercises, we also teach some heelwork to music and tricks. This ensures that dogs and handlers don't get bored of the same routine every week.  The more interesting and stimulating classes are, the happier both dogs and handlers are.

Agility  New course starts - Monday 7th April 2025

Dogs can start classes providing they are over 1 year old, fit, healthy and have no history of joint problems.  If you have any doubt regarding your dog's fitness, you should consult your vet before starting agility.

Once the dogs have been taught the basics, they will be working off lead. Therefore, we can only accept dogs who do not have any issues with either other dogs or people, on or off lead.   There may be 3 dogs off lead at one time, so dogs must also have a good recall if they run across to another course.

We have a mix of beginners and experienced dogs covering a wide range/size of breeds from Patterdale Terriers to German Shepherds and everything in between !!  Although we are not a competition club, dogs and handlers are taught the correct rules and regulations for dog agility.
