We are hoping to be able to reopen classes once the lockdown ends, but we will follow the Government advice.

About Us

As a Kennel Club Listed training club and member of the British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers (BIPDT), the club is run by qualified instructors - Jackie (a veterinary nurse), Alison and Billie. We all have dogs of our own and many years’ experience training dogs at all levels.

Our classes are held in Copnor, Portsmouth on Sunday evenings and Southwick, Fareham on Wednesday evenings when we train all levels of both the Kennel Club’s Good Citizen Dog Scheme and the BIPDT National Code.

We also run Dog Agility classes (indoors) on Monday evenings to which all dogs are welcome, provided they are over 12 months old, have no issues with other dogs/people and are fit and healthy. Please ask any of us for further details about agility classes.

Obedience Classes

Puppy classes are an 6-week introduction course, during which time, they learn the basics. In addition, puppies are socialised with all types of other dogs and people. A well socialised puppy is a happy one who is able and eager to learn all about the outside world.

For those wanting to learn more, our bronze, silver and gold classes provide the next level of training. As well as the standard obedience exercises, we also teach some heelwork to music and tricks. This ensures that dogs and handlers don't get bored of the same routine every week.  The more interesting and stimulating classes are, the happier both dogs and handlers are.

Agility Classes

Monday evenings at Fort Widley. Classes are held indoors in a safe environment for both complete beginners and experienced dogs. We have a mix of breeds enjoying classes - from Patterdale Terriers to German Shepherds and everything in between !!

Dogs must be at least 12 months old, fit and healthy. If you are in any doubt as to whether your dog is fit enough or suitable to do agility (ie, they have/had a joint issue), please contact your vet first.  Dogs must be sociable with other dogs on and off the lead.
